Trap Line Adventures
Predator Hunting Safaris
Winter time in Alaska is a time of mystery, mystic and marvel, from the aurora borealis in the night sky down to the chameleons of the arctic, the Ptarmigan and Snowshoe hare. Experiencing Alaska's wilderness in what many would call the "off season", is a fantastic way to share in one of the most magnificent ecosystems on the planet.
Travel 70 miles into remote interior Alaska via snow machine, passing caribou, moose and ptarmigan along the trail. Each client will have personal use of a snow machine for the duration of their trip. Accommodations will be provided by a remote lodge, with hot/cold running water, showers, wireless internet, sat TV, telephone, radiant heat in all the rooms and a cook.
Each day we will run a trap line, checking traps and making new sets for wolverine, fox, coyote, otter, lynx, beaver, muskrat, marten and the occasional wolf. Quiet often we find red fox while out checking the lines or ptarmigan hunting. Make some sets of your own and experience the thrill of checking them thought out the trip! Expect to have anywhere from 30-90 miles of trap line running each day. Checking these traps every other day or so, breaking up the trap checks with trips out looking for fox, ptarmigan, or accompanying a local family on their subsistence caribou hunts.

Any fur that is taken on your trip will be yours to keep, but we do have a limit of 1 wolverine and 1 lynx per client. This is a fantastic way to decorate a cabin or trophy room with unique and hard to find trophies! We will be happy to go over recommended gear for your trip and expectations with what to bring and how to dress.
Temperatures can dip below zero, but when properly dressed, they be almost a non issue. Plus coming back to hot soup and a roaring woodstove in mid afternoon is a welcome and relaxing break in the day!
Snow machines are maintained in great working condition. As a result of running good equipment there is a mandatory $1000 security deposit on your snow machine. If there is no damage to the machine you will receive $850 back in the mail, minus a$150 maintenance inspection. Any damage that is done will be taken out of the security deposit and the remainder will be sent back to you.
This is a necessary requirement in order to ensurethat all clients will have an enjoyable experience on a properly functioning machine.
| "Jake's trapping trip was the in the top two best hunting trips I have ever been on. Not only did Jakes knowledge and success in taking animals that most people never see much less have in their game room the scenery, atmosphere, accommodation, and food at the lodge were way beyond what I expected and experienced before. This hunt is the experience of a lifetime in the winter wilds of Alaska." S.H. Michigan |

“I really, really enjoyed our winter hunting trophy adventure. It was my first trapping and day-long snowmobile driving experience and hopefully not the last. I have never seen before wolverine, muskrats and caribou in wild nature.
It is amazing interior Alaskan winter wilderness and atmosphere. My report on the Russian hunting web-forum collected more than 6000 unique entries during first week after it had been placed and dozens of positive feedbacks.
Due to our journey a lot of Russian hunters discovered Alaska from new interesting point.".O.P. Russia |
